Our Story

Mountain Maid Workshops is the love child of two long time best friends, Amanda Paoletti & Diana Fayt who met as students at the California College of the Arts almost thirty years ago. Now neighbors in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, the two have forged a plan to share their love-of​-making with the world, hosting favorite artists’ workshops, demonstrations, and retreats​.

The two co-creators, aka the Mountain Maids, bring more than 35 years of combined entrepreneurial experience in the arts to ​the project... Amanda, a ceramic sculptor, creator and owner-director of ​the​ community based visual arts center and teaching facility, ASiF, and Diana, an internationally renowned ceramic artist, teacher and creator of The Clayer online ceramics e-courses.
