1. Q: Is the workshop facility wheelchair accessible?
A: Yes. A wheelchair accessible ramp, bathroom and handicap parking spot is available to Mountain Maid Workshop students.

2. Q: Is there a minimum age for students?
A: The minimum age for Mountain Maid Workshops vary and are decided by individual instructors. Please contact Mountain Maid for approval regarding students under the age of 18.

3. Q: What payment options are available for students?
A: We accept payment through PayPal and Stripe using any major credit card.

4. Q: What is the refund policy?
A: No refunds are offered to students after *four to six weeks prior to the workshop. (*These specific dates are listed on the web page listing for each Mountain Maid Workshop event).
Refund requests received in writing before the allotted time period are admissible. Registration fees (per specific workshop) will be charged.

5. Q: If I am unable to attend my workshop can I give or sell my spot to a friend?
A: Registration transfers between individuals are okay, but must be submitted in writing by the original customer.

6. Q: When should I make my travel arrangements?
A: Registered students should not purchase tickets for air fare, etc., until receiving an email announcing a  “GO” DATE CONFIRMATION to assure that their workshop has not been cancelled.

7. Q: Are materials provided for my workshop?
A: Each Mountain Maid Workshop is different. Please check the website for your particular workshop for specifics.

8. Q: Is food provided for my workshop/demo?
A: Each Mountain Maid Workshop is different. Please check the website particulars specific to your workshop.

9. Q: Are special dietary needs accommodated for with meals that are provided?
A: Yes. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options are available for meals provided by or through Mountain Maid Workshops.

10. Q: If I want to spend the weekend in Nevada City where should I stay?

11. Q: What other kinds of activities can my family and I do in the area?
A:There are so many wonderful things to do, see and experience in the area. A list of recommendations can be found on the Activities & Lodging page of the Mountain Maid website.

12. Q: Do I need a vehicle to get around?
A: Local public bus, cab and car transportation is available but not reliable. A vehicle is recommended. The following are local public transit options:
Bus: Gold Country Stage (Route 3/Loma Rica Route)
Taxi: Grass Valley Cab & Courier, Fast Taxi & Anthony’s Airport Transportation

13. Q: Are there good restaurants, cafes, wineries and bars in the area?
A: Yes! There are many wonderful such options in both Grass Valley and Nevada City. Please see our recommendations on the Activities + Lodging page.

14. Q: If a workshop is full can I put my name on a waitlist in case there is a cancelation and a spot opens?

A: Yes! We will keep waiting lists for all workshops that are full. Please send an email to [email protected] and let us know which workshop waitlist you’d like to be added to. We’ll notify you if an opening becomes available for the workshop you requested
